Loving Your Children When Its NOT Easy

April is child abuse awareness month, and if you know me personally, you know I LOVE children, they're my passion!

So with that said, there is nothing that hurts my heart more than hearing about child abuse.

First of all, I know how difficult parenting can be. As you can see in the picture above, I have my own "Brady Bunch" to prove it!

However, we are entrusted with these beautiful children for just a quick season in our lives. Its here, and gone, before we know it.

Their spirit is more fragile than it seems, it CAN be broken.

Disciple your children, teaching them in patience and kindness. Love thinks before speaking, it filters words through a grid of truth and kindness. The way you speak to your children becomes their inner voice.

DISCIPLINE IS LOVE! Never discipline out of anger, always discipline from a place of love.

If you mess up, children are very forgiving. It's OK to say "I messed up, forgive me!" Children need to see us apologize!

It's good for them to see you fall down and get back up.

They are a reflection of you.

It's never too late to change.

Love is the most powerful force on the planet, it's language is universal, and it's power can pierce through the hardest of hearts.

Love can change your relationships! Even your relationship with your children, no matter how many times you've messed up. Don't give up.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE. Choose love.
